Ask your team for weekly availability
Set the window, the minimum each person must offer per type of shift, and nudge people who have not sent.
- For owners
Each week your team taps the shifts they can work for next week. The builder then uses what they offered.
Steps
- Open Settings, then Submission rules (on the web, find Weekly submissions in Settings).
- On the phone, turn on Ask for a weekly submission. On the web the submission rules are always shown.
- Choose the day and time it Opens and Closes (on the phone, under Submission window). Sunday evening is the last moment before the week you plan.
- Choose a policy for late people (on the phone under When it is late). See Late submissions.
- On the phone, under Default quotas, tap a category to add it: Mornings, Evenings, Nights, Weekend, or one of your shifts. On the web, the Quotas per category table already has a row for each category.
- Set how many to offer at least (Min to submit; on the web, Offer at least) and at most (Max to submit; Offer at most). You can also set Min assigned and Max assigned (on the web, Work at least and Work at most) for how many shifts you will give them. On the web, tap Save.
- To change one person only, open them in the Team tab. On the phone, tap Customise for this person, and Back to business defaults to undo. On the web, fill in the fields under Submission quotas (an empty field uses the business default) and tap Back to defaults to undo.
Follow it live
- Open the Submissions tab to see who submitted, who is late and who is missing, with a countdown to the close.
- Tap Nudge for one person or Nudge all to send a reminder to everyone missing.
Good to know
- Employees get automatic reminders before the window closes.
- The builder uses the shifts people offered and treats "really want" as a strong preference.
- Assignment limits are respected when possible. Any gap shows on the week board as a quota gap.
