What happens when someone submits late
Choose between block, allow with a flag, or treat as available for everything, and know what each does.
- For owners
The late policy decides what happens to people who send after the window closes, or who miss the minimums.
Steps
- Open Settings, then Submission rules (on the web, Weekly submissions in Settings).
- Pick one of the three policies: under When it is late on the phone, or If someone is late or below the minimum on the web.
- On the phone the choice saves right away and the Submissions tab shows the policy in use. On the web, tap Save.
The three policies
- Block: nobody can submit after the window closes. On the phone the employee sees that submissions are blocked and is asked to message you. People who never submitted are not scheduled until they do.
- Allow and flag (on the web, Allow, flagged): late submissions are accepted and count, and you see them marked as late.
- Mark as available for everything (on the web, Treat as available for everything): anyone who did not submit counts as available at any time, so you can schedule them anywhere. It is flagged for you.
Good to know
- Allow and flag is the starting choice.
- Late people show in their own Late list on the Submissions tab.
- Changing the policy does not undo schedules already built.
- To remind people before the close, tap Nudge all on the Submissions tab. See Weekly availability.
