What this calculator assumes

  • Overtime is whatever exceeds the weekly threshold above. Your collective agreement (CCNL, convenio) may define it differently, for example per day or per period.
  • Premium percentages are added on top of the base rate for the matching hours. They are placeholders: the real values come from your contract.
  • Public holidays are the national ones only. Regional and local holidays are not included.
  • Daylight saving is applied with the real clock of the country, so a night shift on the clock-change night is 7 or 9 hours, not 8.
  • An estimate to plan with, not payroll and not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

How are overnight shifts counted?

If the end time is earlier than or equal to the start time, we treat it as ending the next day, and we count the hours inside your night window even when they fall after midnight.

What are the default limits?

Rest between shifts: 11 hours in Italy and 12 hours in Spain. Weekly overtime threshold: 40 hours. These are defaults taken from the labour-law presets in the app. Always check your collective agreement.
