Schedule cost and weekly budget
See what a week costs while you plan it, get a warning about overtime, and set a weekly labour budget.
- For owners
Above the week board, the cost strip shows the estimated gross cost of the week's shifts, drafts and published ones, priced with the same rules as pay.
Steps
- Open the Week tab. The strip shows the total, the hours planned, the cost per day and per position.
- Press Details to see overtime: who goes over, how many overtime hours and what they add. A person above the legal maximum is flagged.
- Press Set a weekly budget and enter a number. The strip then says whether you are within budget or by how much you are over.
- If some people have no pay rate, the strip asks you to Add pay rates instead of showing a wrong total.
Good to know
- A shift costs what it adds to the person's week, in order. Overtime lands on the shift that causes it.
- Open shifts are not priced yet, and the strip counts them.
- Salaried people with no shift are shown separately.
- The strip is hidden on plans without pay estimates.
- A manager who cannot see the owner's pay gets those shifts left out.
- It is an estimate, not payroll. The budget is only a warning: it never blocks publishing.
