Edit the week by hand
Move, add or remove people on the week board, and know that your manual changes stay when you rebuild.
- For owners
You can change any shift. The app warns about problems but you decide.
Steps on the web
- Open the Week tab.
- Drag a person from the team list under the board onto a slot. The app refuses a person who is not trained for that position or who already works that day.
- To change who is in a slot, click the person, then choose another from Other people who could take it.
- To free a slot, click the person and choose Remove from this shift.
Steps on the phone
- Tap a shift on the Week tab.
- Tap Change employee (or Assign someone for an empty slot) and pick a person. People with no problems are listed first.
- If there is a warning, you see Heads up with the reason.
- Tap Leave open to remove the person.
Good to know
- A shift you changed by hand says "Changed by hand. The next rebuild will leave it where it is."
- Everything else is rebuilt on the next build. See Build the week.
- You can edit after publishing. Publish again to update the team. See Publish the week.
- Editing is free on every plan.
- Hours already assigned this week are shown next to each person, so you can avoid overloading someone.
