See why someone was chosen for a shift

Open any shift to read the reason behind it and see who else could take it.

Every automatic assignment has a plain reason, so you can trust it or change it quickly.

Steps

Open the Week tab.
On the web, click a person on the board. On the phone, tap a shift.
Read Why Marco here? on the web (on the phone, Why this shift), with the name of the person you opened. Examples are "Prefers evenings", "Fewest hours so far this week" and "Keeps last week's pattern".
Read Other people who could take it to see who else is free and qualified, or tap Change employee on the phone. The list shows who is free and who has a warning.
To swap, pick another person. To free the slot, use Remove from this shift on the web or Leave open on the phone.

Fewest hours so far this week.
Fair share of weekends.
Keeps last week's pattern.
Qualified, available and rested.
Does this position, and Even split of hours (no availability yet): the only reasons on a first draft built in setup, before your team shared availability.
They asked for this shift, or Prefers this shift.
Needed for their weekly minimum.
Placed by you, for a manual change.

If nobody else is free and qualified, the panel says so.
Employees see the reason on their own shift too.
