Same hours every week (fixed schedule)

If your team works the same hours every week, you do not need to plan or collect availability. Fixed mode keeps the next four weeks published from a pattern.

Steps

1. Choose it in setup, on the shifts screen: Same hours every week. You can also switch later in Settings, under schedule mode. Only the owner can switch.
2. Set the pattern: one shared pattern for everybody, or a pattern for one person (her own pattern replaces the shared one completely). For each weekday give start, end and an optional break.
3. Save. This week (days not yet past) and the next three weeks are published straight away.
4. For a one-off change, open the day and set an exception: a different shift, or a day off. The person is notified.

Good to know

• Switching modes never deletes anything. Going back to planned mode keeps every published shift.
• In fixed mode weekly availability submissions and the Build week button are off.
• Approved absences, time off and closed days are skipped. A week that already holds shifts you made by hand is left alone.
• Changing the pattern replaces only shifts nobody touched. Edited shifts and exceptions stay.
• A shift that ends after midnight is fine: set the end before the start.
• The schedule is extended every night, and no notification is sent for each generated week.
