Notifications and reminders
See which notifications you get, when shift reminders arrive, and how quiet hours work.

The app sends push notifications to your phone. They are free on every plan.
What employees get
- A new schedule has been published, or your shifts changed.
- A reminder before each shift. The defaults are 12 hours before and 1 hour before.
- A swap offer or an open shift you could take.
- A decision on your request.
- A reminder to send your weekly availability, before the window closes.
What owners and managers get
- A swap that needs approval, and a person joining the team.
- New requests from your team, such as time off or a swap offer. They are in the Requests tab.
Turning them on
- The app asks for permission after you have seen your first shifts, so you know what it is for.
- Tap Allow in the phone's prompt. In the app you can also tap Turn on on the card "Want a reminder before each shift?"
- If you said no before, turn notifications on for the app in your phone's settings.
Good to know
- Quiet hours are respected, so notifications are held back at night. Reminders for a shift that starts within 2 hours still arrive.
- Tapping a notification opens the right screen, for example your shifts or the requests inbox.
- Notifications are sent in your app language.
- Nothing is sent by SMS.
