Import a roster from a photo
Take a photo or screenshot of your current roster, check what was read, and bring the people and shifts in.
- For owners
- Personal mode
Instead of typing, use a photo of the roster you already have. It can be a paper sheet, a spreadsheet screenshot or a PDF. Photo import is in the phone app. On the web, setup starts from example names you can rename later.
Steps for a business
- In setup on the phone, open Who works with you? and tap Use a photo of your roster instead.
- Tap Take a photo or Choose from photos.
- Wait while the roster is read.
- Check the people and shifts that were read. Dashed cells are the ones the app is least sure about.
- Fix anything that was read wrong (tap a shift or a name), then tap the button at the bottom to use the list, for example Use 5 people.
- Continue setup. Your shifts and people are filled in.
Steps for personal mode
- Choose to import your roster from a photo.
- Pick your own row from the people found.
- Check your shifts, then import them into your calendar.
Good to know
- Roster import is a paid feature for a business, included in the 14-day trial. In personal mode it is part of Pro.
- Always check the result. Handwriting and blurry photos can be misread.
- A clear, straight, well-lit photo works best. Include the whole table and the names.
- If your roster is on a computer, a screenshot is better than a photo of the screen.
If it does not work
- If the app says We could not read that photo, try again with a sharper photo or a cropped image of just the table.
- You can also type the names in the Names field, separated by commas, or tap Use examples. See Add your team.
